TIPS AND CUSTOMIZATION
GET THE MOST OUT OF THE VERO ANKLE® BRACE
The gray BioMemory™ material should be covering the front of your ankle and the figure 8 straps should lay flat under your foot. The rigid stirrups should be on either side of your ankle.
Pull the longer of the upper straps around the back of your ankle, through the slot, and hold it against the front to serve as a "base." Then wrap the other upper strap around the back—the opposite way—and secure it to the "base."
Elevate your heel, bending your knee over your toes to create the ideal angle. Pull the figure 8 straps tightly in a cross pattern and secure them to the upper straps one at a time.

Leg Angle and
Positioning is Crucial
While securing the figure 8 straps during Step 3, it’s critical to create the proper angle for your ankle. By placing your foot on a chair and bending your knee over your toes, you put the ankle into the optimal position for protection, recovery, and healing.
Remove Rigid Stirrups For Improved Range of Motion
As your ankle heals, you may desire a greater range of motion. If that’s the case, feel free to remove the rigid stirrups as needed, or even trim them with scissors for a more ideal fit or enhanced comfort.
Trimming the Straps
for the Optimal Fit
If the longer of the two upper straps is too long to provide the perfect fit, you may trim them by cutting them on the compressed marks with scissors. This will help create a tighter grip with the base straps, especially for those with smaller ankles.
